About
the size of Britain, an expanse of 390,310 sq km, Zimbabwe shares
borders with South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. Within
this contrasting country of open woodland in the central highveld
plateau, the thornveld in the North-West and the spectacular mountains
of the East, lies the awesome beauty of "Mosi-oa-Tunya"
- The Smoke that Thunders. Victoria Falls where the mighty Zambezi
River widens up to 1,6 kilometres, plunges about 100 metres into
the Zambezi Gorge and sends a cloud of spray sustaining a dense,
Tropical Rain Forest.
Besides
experiencing the spectacular falls, numerous activities are offered
at Victoria Falls suiting everyone's needs. For the wildlife enthusiast
explore the Zambezi National Park, either on a game drive and
bush walk or partake in a canoe safari within a truly unspoilt
wilderness above the Victoria Falls.
Feel the 'adrenaline rush" as you either white water raft
down the Zambezi River, Bungi jump from the Victoria Falls bridge,
a thrilling 105 metres and/or take in the breathtaking aerial
view of the falls - The flight of the Angels" - either from
